by Kelly Cash (posted to the NER Facebook Group on 06/05/2020)

MA OHV ApplicationThere was a great question posted by Chris Harris asking how to navigate this process, where a few others too wanted to know more than. I crafted a quick how-to.

  1. Visit your nearest Massachusetts Ecology Police, also known every bit the Gunkhole and Recreation Registration and Titling Bureau.  Listing of Office Locations
  2. Bring the following items with yous:
    • Current motorcycle registration, or title, every bit proof you paid sales tax.
    • Completed Registration/Titling Application (or complete this at the office, they will assist y'all if needed). Link to awarding covering multiple recreation vehicle types. If that link does non work, go to this link and scroll to Registration and Titling Application.
    • License/photo ID.
    • Money (accepted methods are credit/debit carte du jour, check or money lodge – cash is not accepted). Make payable to the "Republic of Massachusetts":
      • $44 for ii years (MA resident)
      • $33 (1 year but) for Non-Residents.

MA OHV Registration Methods

If the offices are closed due to COVID-19, you may mail in the above. Make a photo copy of the registration and form, and pay by bank check or money social club, and should be made payable to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

  • If I am looking for dirt roads, are in that location whatever other non-OHV areas/roads in MA I may ride my motorcycle?
